Design Rationale
Aria was designed for a specific client scenario: a 40-room boutique hotel in the Algarve that had outgrown its previous brand identity and needed a digital presence that matched its physical refinement. The brief was clear — the website should feel like walking through the lobby, not reading a brochure.
The typographic system uses an 8-column grid with a deliberate asymmetry in the hero — the primary image occupies 6 columns while the identity copy anchors to 2. This ratio was chosen to communicate that the experience is primary; the brand is secondary. The typefaces were selected for their silence: they do not compete with photography.
This template serves brands that have something real to show. If your photography is strong, Aria gives it the space it deserves. If your photography is still being developed, it will reveal that honestly — which is the correct behaviour for a design template at this price point.
